Using Color to See More - The PanCam Filter Wheels

The Panoramic Camera carries 14 different types of filters, allowing not only full-color images but also spectral analysis of minerals and the atmosphere. Below are seven shots from each camera of the Calibartion Sundial, taken through all but the Neutral Density Solar Filters. The central color swatch and arrows show which part of the spectrum that particular filter is sensitive to.
